Kashmir conflict has its roots from Dogra Rule who ruled kashmir for almost a century.
The Dogra dynasty was a dynasty of Hindu Rajputs who ruled Jammu & Kashmir from 1846 to 1947.
Under Dogra regime people of Kashmir witnessed a worst form of oppression and ill treatment like forced labour called as 'Begar" system under which they were forced to work without being paid and on denial people were beaten to death. ( Source- Aljazeera).
worst form of it was agitation of July 13, 1931.

Kashmir insurgency is not new and the uprising militancy which is seen now against the oppression is directly related to history of Kashmir. People have suffered a lot in the hands of outsiders be it then  Dogra's regime or now Indian security forces, Worst form of abuse being the Mass gang rapes, abuse of juvenile act under which kids below 18 are abducted and detained, custodial killings and fake encounters.

The rhetoric which is being sold now to the people who are not residents of kashmir is quite dangerous to them because one day they are going to  get effected by the conflict directly or indirectly.

Since the scrapping or autonomy of Kashmir on morning of August 5, 2019, government of India has been able to sell a narrative to its people in terms of Development, prosperity and peace.
I have overheard a conversations between few of my colleagues  who are non Kashmiri "We will now go to Kashmir and find a beautiful home in front of Dal lake"
I was most of the times confused when it cones to responding to the statement either with a funny answer, remain quite or to tell them the truth, I most of the times chose to tell the truth or some times remained quite when it was required the most.
Now the harsh truth has always two reactions either a person pays attention and think about it logically and then try to research, read and find different sources to verify it. The other reaction is dangerous not just for a person who is a kashmri but for the other one who reacts aggressively to the truth.
People from other parts of India except Kashmir has taken the slogan " Hum Kya chahtey - Aazadi " as granted, they do not even care to know why the hell on earth would some one demand freedom from a country.
Now when it comes to kashmir there has been atrocities committed by Forces with the people including Women, children. young and old right after the beginning of a Hindu rule In Muslim dominated Kashmir in 1846.
Kashmir valley has a population of more than seven million people and more than 97% of them are Muslims who share a common culture and want to preserve it, so when majority of the population demands anything which they feel is right for them but if they are denied of their rights like all other major conflicts in the world, kashmir has been witnessing the same form of voilence and terror.

Indian Army Accused of Torture in Kashmir- BBC

People are denied with the basic rights of livelihood, forget about a free nation, people in Kashmir are not allowed to gather more than three.

In top of all this government of India has removed its special status Article 370 which was the only basis of the relationship between People of Kashmir and rest of India.
People in the valley are subjected to tortures, custodial killings, rape, and disappearances since then Indian Army has been given free hand on people to commit crimes.
The crimes committed by Army are being reported several times by various Human rights organisations including Amnesty international and United nations human rights council.
Here is the document that supports it.  Report.pdf

Coming back to the argument, most of the people from rest of the Indian states does not even know what actual conflict is all about, they start talking about kashmir and pass on their opinions when they see anything over the television screens or in aggressive debates on  some particular party run news channels. They do not think it wisely as to why are people against the government of India and why does they hate Army so much, they do not even care to know why would a person blew himself up in between an Army convoy. They become ignorant and this ignorance becomes a disease which makes a lie convert into a truth and then the entire propaganda of lies spread into the entire country and people started believing it without even wanting to know the reality of it. The same propaganda then takes a shape of communal riots and then a conflict follows another conflict therefore turning the entire narrative into a communal  issue thus leads to more and more oppression  to the people of Kashmir.
The oppression and crimes that are being committed in kashmir can't be forgotten and there is no way a development or a scheme can substitute that.
How can people of Kashmir forget a mass gang rape incident in the twin village of Kunan and Poshpora in the northern district of Kupwara.   Dark night of Kunan Poshpora
Upon reporting the crimes against army the Apex court has been extending the hearing and dates thus making the criminal more stronger and a victim numb for always.

TRT WORLD WON AN AWARD ON REPORTING TRUTH IN KASHMIR

Its been proved time and again by the people of Kashmir that all they want is a freedom from oppression, they do not want development, they do not want schemes all of this has been sold to them several times in the name of different mechanisms and schemes in order to suppress the voices but all of this is nothing more than a lollipop and seven million people are not just the kids they have suffered a lot and they want to be a part of something which represents just the Kashmir, not India.

P.S: People of Kashmir specially Muslims have always condemned the exodus or the crimes against Kashmiri Pandits so before there is another rhetoric of this part of history being showcased to justify the oppression and atrocities on kashmiri Muslims just that there has been numerous incidents or massacres on kashmiri Muslims since then or even before that but that was in past.
past is past, we can't change it but we definitely can change preset to make our future beautiful for everyone to be part of it.
